Delete your Gymjoy data
Gymjoy for Android, by Obsidian UG. As of October 22, 2026.
Gymjoy keeps your training on your phone. The only thing our server holds is the coach chat, and only if you used the Coach tab. You can have it deleted at any time.
How to ask
- Open Gymjoy, tap Coach and write: Please delete my chat.
- Or email [email protected] with the subject Delete my Gymjoy chat. The chat has no name or account, so tell us roughly when you used it and something you wrote, so we can find it.
- We delete it and confirm in the same place, within one month at the latest.
What we delete
- everything you wrote and every answer, with their times;
- the random chat ID the app keeps for your conversation;
- the app version, the store it came from and the IP addresses stored with the chat.
We keep none of it. Our encrypted database backups are kept for three days, so a few days after we delete your chat, no copy of it remains there either. If you open the Coach tab again later, a new, empty chat starts.
The training on your phone
Your workouts, plans, records, settings and progress photos never reach us, so you delete them yourself: uninstall Gymjoy, or open Android's Settings, then Apps, Gymjoy, Storage, and tap Clear storage. If Android's backup is on, Google keeps a copy of your training and settings in your Google account, which you manage in your Google account's backup settings.
